(Red skills are the only ones that remain with a character upon class changes). It is also worth considering to max out the Squire class if you want to keep the Red skill - Tactical Link:Swap. If you want to next change to a Knight you must meet the Mastery Requirements of Sword-6 Plated Armor-4 for a Knight. So click on Squire and he is now a Squire. In your case right now you go into the Class screen and you should see Eden with Commoner maxed out and Squire available to select. Once you understand this you can see how to pre-plan your characters build. You could however give him those requirements at any time if you wanted to change his class, because it's the equipment requirements that govern what class you make the character. He does not get the option of being a Fighter or a Mage as he does not meet the requirement of Leather Armor-2 or Cloth Armor-2 and Elemental Magic-3. Note also that each class has a character level requirement - for example to become a Knight your character must be at least level 10. He will then automatically get the option to change to a Squire when he has the Recommended Equipment requirement of a Sword-3 and Plated Armor-2, and these just happen to be the default equipment Eden has when starting the game. He starts off in the game as a Commoner and will max that Class when he gets 300 exp. You will see that for Eden to eventually become an Overlord he needs Mastery in Sword-8, Plated Armor-8 and Elemental Magic-3. Lets look at Eden and his special Overlord Class.
